Marine Boat Lien, LLC. assists boatyards, dry boat storage facilites, marinas and moorings in gaining title to abandoned and derelict vessels left behind by foreigners in order for them to recoup their losses from delinquent dry and wet storage fees and in order to remove derelict vessels from the anchorages and harbors in order to protect the enviroment.

Once Marine Boat Lien, LLC. confirms our ability to obtain the necessary documentation to the boat, Marine Boat Lien, LLC. will submit an invoice detailing the cost to obtain the documentation to the boat.
When nobody can, Marine Boat Lien, LLC. can get the job done within 60 days or less.

U.s. & Foreign abandoned boat registration & documentation
- REQUIREMENTS
- All procedures below must be handled by a third party such as Marine Boat Lien, LLC. A boatyard, marina, dry and wet storage facility or a private owner will not be able to obtain the registration, title and documentation to a boat without documentation, such as a bill of sale, signed and notarized, from the owner of the boat listed on the registration, title or documentation.
- The vessel cannot be registered or documented in the country in which it has been abandoned or has delinquent dry or wet storage fees.
- The vessel must be foreign registerred or documented and its phyiscal registered address and hailing port must be from the country in which the vessel has originated from.
- The vessel must have been abandoned for a minimum of 180 to 360 consecutive days (depending on the country) of delinquent dry or wet storage fees or if the vessel's registration or documentation has expired and the owner has been contacted, but has not responded within 30 days.
- PROCEDURES
- An invoice is submitted to the dry or wet storage facility with a breakdown of the costs and Marine Boat Lien, LLC. does not require any amounts upfront unless the total cost of the invoice exceeds $2,000.00 US Dollars.
- Once the invoice is accepted, a contract is signed between Marine Boat Lien, LLC. and the dry or wet storage facility after the dry or wet storage facility approves of the invoice given to them by Marine Boat Lien, LLC.
- Obtain copies of the lease agreement and contact information for the owner of the vessel.
- Obtain a photograph of the name of the vessel and a stencil of the hull identification number.
- Search the vessel for its official documented number if it has one and take a photograph of it.
- Search the vessel for other documentation for the vessel and the owner's contact information.
- Decipher the HIN through the national and international databases on the vessel to ensure the hull identification number is correct.
- Contact the state or federal government in the country in which the vessel is from and pull the documentation to see who the last known registered owner of the vessel was and to see if there is a lienholder (bank or financial institution), any liens or any other encumbrances against the vessel.
- Search and contact the current registered or documented owner of the vessel.
- Contact all lienholders and or liens from the vessel if any and remove or transfer past or present taxes and property tax liens on the vessel.
- Pull the vessel out of state or federal registration or documentation in the country the vessel originated from and in order to receive an evidence of deletion letter or transfer document.
- The vessel will then be registered in the U.S. with the state vessel registration department, because both citizens and non citizens can have a vessel regsitered to them without being a citizen of the U.S.
- The vessel must be registered to whoever is owed the debt for deliquent dry or wet storage fees and the vessel can be sold in order to recoup the delinquent dry or wet storage fees due.
- If a vessel is going to be destroyed, the title must be given back to Marine Boat Lien, LLC. in order to file the vessel as destroyed.
Foreign dry & wet storage facility liens & lien sales
- REQUIREMENTS
- All procedures below must be handled by a third party such as Marine Boat Lien, LLC. A boatyard, marina, dry and wet storage facility or a private owner will not be able to obtain the registration, title and documentation to a boat without documentation, such as a bill of sale, signed and notarized, from the owner of the boat listed on the registration, title or documentation.
- The vessel cannot be registered or documented in the country in which it has been abandoned or has delinquent dry or wet storage fees.
- The vessel must be foreign registerred or documented and its phyiscal registered address and hailing port must be from the country in which the vessel has originated from.
- The vessel must be deliinquent on its dry or wet storage fees for a minimum of 90 consecutive days of non payment and the payent must be paid in full in order to stop the lien process. If a partial payment is made towards the delinquent dry or wet storage fees, this will also stop the lien process and the lien process will start over.
- PROCEDURES
- There is no direct cost for this service to boatyards, dry and wet storage faciites, marinas and moorings. The cost to precess a lien against a boat for delinquent dry or wet storage fees is added to the lien amount (total past due dry or wet storage fees) to the boat and its' owner. Should the owner of the boat fail to pay the full lien amount and lien processing fees within 30 days after given notice in writing, the owner forfeits his boat and the boat will go to auction to be sold for the total lien amount.
- An invoice is submitted to the dry or wet storage faciity.
- Upon approval of the invoice, a contract is signed between Marine Boat Lien, LLC. and the dry or wet storage facility.
- Obtain copies of the lease agreement and contact information for the owner of the vessel.
- Obtain a photograph of the nme of the vessel and a stencil of the hull identification number.
- Search the vessel for its official documented number if it has one and take a photograph of it.
- Search the vessel for other documentation for the vessel and the owner's contact information.
- Decipher the HIN through the national and international databases on the vessel to ensure the hull identification number is correct.
- Match the secondary hull identification number or serial number to ensure both numbers match.
- Contact the state or federal government in the country in which the vessel is from and pull an Abstract of Title to see who the last known registered owner of the vessel was and to see if there is a lienholdder (bank or financial institution), any liens or other encumbrances against the vessel.
- Search and contact the current registered or documented owner of the vessel.
- Remove all lienholders and or liens from the vessel if any and remove or transfer any past or present taxes and property tax liens on the vessel.
- Pull the vessel out of state or federal registration or documentation in the country the vessel originated from and in order to receive an evidence of deletion letter or transfer document.
- The vessel will then be registered in the U.S. with the state vessel registration department, because both citizens and non citizens can have a vessel regsitered to them without being a citizen of the U.S.
- The vessel must be registered to whoever is owed the debt for deliquent dry or wet storage fees and the vessel can be sold in order to recoup the delinquent dry or wet storage fees due.
- Marine Boat Lien, LLC. mustbe paid for their services before the vessel csan be sold at a lien sale.
- The vessel must go to auction or a lien sale which is conducted by the dry or wet storage facility and can only be sold for the amount of the lien, bidding can start at any price and the previous owner can bid on the vessel. The date, time and location of the lien sale must be advertised in a local publication announcing the lien sale. The highest bidder wins.
- If the vessel is not sold at the lien sale, it becomes the property of the dry or wet storage facility.
- If a vessel is going to be destroyed, the title must be given back to Marine Boat Lien, LLC. in order to file the vessel as destroyed.
U.S. & Foreign boat ACQUISITION Without Title, Regsistration or documentation
- REQUIREMENTS
- All procedures below must be handled by a third party such as Marine Boat Lien, LLC. A boatyard, marina, dry and wet storage facility or a private owner will not be able to obtain the registration, title and documentation to a boat without documentation, such as a bill of sale, signed and notarized, from the owner of the boat listed on the registration, title or documentation.
- The vessel cannot be registered or documented in the country in which it has been acquired through a purchase from a dry or wet storsage fscility or other entity or person from that country.
- The vessel must be foreign registerred or documented and its phyiscal registered address and hailing port must be from the country in which the vessel has originated from.
- The individual or business that aqcuired the vessel through purchaase must show proof of payment and acknowledgemnt by the dry or wet storage facility or other entity or person in which the vessel was acquired from and this document must be notarized..
- PROCEDURES
- An invoice is submitted to the new owner.
- Once the invoice is accepted, the new owner must sign a contract and pay upfront 50% of the invoice upfront.
- Obtain copies of the lease agreement and contact information for the owner of the vessel.
- Obtain a photograph of the name of the vessel and a stencil of the hull identification number.
- Search the vessel for its official documented number if it has one and take a photograph of it.
- Search the vessel for other documentation for the vessel and the owner's contact information.
- Decipher the HIN through the national and international databases on the vessel to ensure the hull identification number is correct.
- Locate and match the secondary hull identification number or serial number to ensure both numbers match.
- Contact the state or federal government in the country in which the vessel is from and pull the documentation to see who the last known registered owner of the vessel was and to see if there is a lienholdder (bank or financial institution), any liens or other encumbrances against the vessel.
- Search and contact the current registered or documented owner of the vessel.
- Remove all lienholders and or liens from the vessel if any and remove or transfer any past or present taxes and property tax liens on the vessel.
- Pull the vessel out of state or federal registration or documentation in the country the vessel originated from and in order to receive an evidence of deletion letter or transfer document.
- The vessel will then be registered in the U.S. with the state vessel registration department, because both citizens and non citizens can have a vessel regsitered to them without being a citizen of the U.S.
- The vessel can be registered to the new owner or Marine Boat Lien, LLC. can form a LLC. or Inc. for the new owner and register the vessel under this LLC. or Inc. for tax and liability reasons in the U.S. and then document the vessel with any yacht registry in the world.
U.S. & Foreign Abandoned boat acquisition & joint venture partnerships
- REQUIREMENTS
- The vessel cannot be registered or documented in the country in which it has been acquired through a purchase from a dry or wet storsage fscility or other entity or person from that country.
- The vessel must be foreign registerred or documented and its phyiscal registered address and hailing port must be from the country in which the vessel has originated from.
- Marine Boat Lien, LLC. with either purchase select abandoned boats or form a joint venture partnership with the dry or wet storage faciltiy on select vessels in order to maximize profitability by selling the vessel close to market value afyer the vessel has been registered in the U.S. under Marine Boat Lien, LLC. or under one of its subsidary companies, thoroughly cleaned and repairs have been made to the vessel to ensure the seaworthiness of the vessel before being sold to a new owner.
- Under the Joint Venture Partnership Agreement with the dry or wet storage facility, the dry or wet storage facility is not to charge Marine Boat Lien, LLC. any dry or wet storage fees until the vessel is sold.
- Under the Joint Venture Partnership Agreement the dry or wet storage facility is only to recieve the amount of the delinquent dry or wet storage fees due to them from the previous owner of the vessel from the sale of the vessel.
- PROCEDURES
- If the vessel is purchased, Marine Boat Lien, LLC. is to receive a notarized bill of sale. If the a joint venture partnership will be formed then an agreement must be signed and notarized. The joint venture agreement must state the total debt that is owed to the dry or wet storage facility or an amount to be negotiated.
- Obtain copies of the lease agreement and contact information for the owner of the vessel.
- Obtain a photograph of the name of the vessel and a stencil of the hull identification number.
- Search the vessel for its official documented number if it has one and take a photograph of it.
- Search the vessel for other documentation for the vessel and the owner's contact information.
- Decipher the HIN through the national and international databases on the vessel to ensure the hull identification number is correct.
- Locate and match the secondary hull identification number or serial number to ensure both numbers match.
- Contact the state or federal government in the country in which the vessel is from and pull the documentation to see who the last known registered owner of the vessel was and to see if there is a lienholdder (bank or financial institution) or any liens against the vessel.
- Search and contact the current registered or documented owner of the vessel.
- Remove all lienholders and or liens from the vessel if any and remove or transfer any past or present taxes and property tax liens on the vessel.
- Pull the vessel out of state or federal registration or documentation in the country the vessel originated from and in order to receive an evidence of deletion letter or transfer document.
- The vessel will then be registered in the U.S. with the state vessel registration department under Marine Boat Lien, LLC. or under one of its subsidary companies and Marine Boat Lien, LLC. will cover all of the expenses.
- Marine Boat Lien, LLC. will then thoroughly clean and make the necessary repairs at their expense to ensure that the vessel is functional and seaworthy.
- Marine Boat Lien, LLC. will then list the vessel for sale and once the vessel is sold, the dry or wet storage facility is to recieve the debt or delinquent dry or wet storage fees due to them from the previous owner and after that Marine Boat Lien, LLC. will keep alll of the net profits from the sale of the vessel.
U.S., Mexico & Foreign yacht registry
- REQUIREMENTS
- Provide your full name, address, telephone and email. Provide a PDF of your picture identification card and passport/visa.
- Provide the year, make and model of your boat or yacht, the Hull Identification number, the name you named your boat or yacht and PDF of your current documentation, reigtration or title for your boat or yacht.
- Provide three (3) business names that you would like to register your boat or yacht under. It is recommended that you name your Delaware Corporation or Limited Liability Company the same name that you named your boat or yacht. Example: Happy Times and Happy Times International, Inc. or LLC.
- Sign an Agreement with Marine Boat Lien, LLC. making Marine Boat Lien, LLC. your designated Agent to act on your behalf and sign a General Power of Attorney with Marine Boat Lien, LLC.
